After Hours at the Kreeger Museum: Friday, May 13, 7:30pm – 10:30pm. Enjoy the surroundings of Philip Johnson’s architectural masterpiece while sipping a glass of wine, listening to live jazz and viewing the Kreeger’s special exhibition, Tom Wesselmann Draws. VIP ticket holders will enjoy a champagne reception one hour before doors open, a private tour of the exhibition with the Kreeger’s Head of Education, Erich Keel and one parking spot on Museum grounds.
Rosslyn Outdoor Film Festival–“SNL in the Movies:” Friday, May 13, dusk. Billy Crystal in When Harry Met Sally. The festival returns to beautiful Gateway Park at Lee Highway near Key Bridge with an even larger screen every Friday night at dusk beginning April 29 and ending August 26. People are encouraged to bring blankets and low chairs to picnic in the park before the show. Show up early for the pre-show games and prizes. The movies play rain or shine. The event is free and open to the public.
The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown: To help the city get into the swing of summer, the The Ritz-Carlton is offering complimentary mini cones of s’more gelato and s’more-tinis (served in tasting glasses) every night in their hotel lobby.

Fairfax Station Railroad Museum: First Sesquicentennial Tour Celebrating the Civil War in Fairfax County 1861. Saturday, May 14, 8:15am – 3:30pm. Fairfax Station is rich in railroad, Civil War, and local history. Clara Barton tended to thousands of soldiers as the result of the Battles of 2nd Manassas and Ox Hill.
National Harbor Wine & Food Festival: Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15. The 4th Annual incarnation of the Wine and food Festival at national Harbor; bringing together world-renowned chefs, Artisanal craftsmen, and culinary pioneers with thousands of metro DC’s foodies. 150 different wines, beers, and spirits along with cooking demonstrations and live music.

The Taste of Wheaton: Sunday, May 15, 11:00am – 5:00pm. Food samples from downtown Wheaton’s best restaurants at prices ranging from $1 to $5 per “taste.” Two stages of live entertainment. Kids rides. Face painting, balloon sculptures and caricature drawings by D’s Magic. DJ area and “Wheaton Idol” Karaoke!
Yoga on the National Mall: Sunday, May 15, 1:30pm – 4:30pm. Kids’ Yoga and Hooping with Hoop Dance DC, All Levels yoga class led by teachers from DC Yoga Week studios, Acro-Yoga demonstration, and special appearance and class lead by Shiva Rea, accompanied by drumming from Unified Vibrations.
Mount Vernon Spring Wine Festival and Sunset Tour: Sunday, May 15, 6:00pm – 9:00pm (Friday and Saturday are sold out). Mount Vernon’s Spring Wine Festival & Sunset Tour celebrates the history of wine in Virginia with candlelit tours of the Mansion, including the rarely-open basement where Washington stored his wine, and live jazz on the east lawn overlooking the scenic Potomac River. Guests sample wines from 16 Virginia wineries, learn about the successes and failures of our Founding Father’s wine endeavors, and meet “George and Martha Washington” on the Mansion’s piazza.
