Chantilly VA–Ticonderoga Farms (Saturdays & Sundays, March 26 – April 24: 10am-5pm): Come join us and the Easter Bunny for some festive fun.  Egg Hunts feature candy and toy-filled eggs.  Find those special golden goose eggs for a prize.  Kids and adults can visit the slides, playground ark, take a hayride, visit our animal center and roast marshmallows.  Snacks and drinks are available for purchase.  Bring your camera for photo ops with the Easter Bunny.  Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the Egg Hunt and remember to bring your own basket or bag for collecting eggs.

Germantown MD–Butler’s Orchard (April 21, 22, 23, 25, 30 & May 1 9am – 3pm each day. Closed Easter Sunday.): Enjoy a hayride down the Bunnytrail! Ride the Giant Slides! See Bunnies, Lambs and Chicks! Hunt for Colorful Eggs! Get a Goody Basket to take home, and much more! All activities run continuously throughout the day! $8 per child; $6 per adult. In addition, food vendors will offer yummy treats and there will be face painting, kids crafts and pony rides for purchase. Come spend the day with us and meet Country Bunny too!

Leesburg VA–Morven Park (Saturday, 23 April 10:00 AM12:00 PM): Romp and roll in Morven Park’s expansive lawn! Activities include story time, natural egg dying, basket making, an egg hunt, and learning about healthy Easter treats, topped off with an Easter egg roll on the Mansion lawn. Also ‘Leaps and Squeaks’ the 4-H bunny and cavy (guinea pig) club will be showing off their furry friends. Advanced reservations required. $10/adult; $5/child.

Leesburg VA–Dodona Manor (April 23 2pm – 4pm): You are invited to the 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the grounds of Dodona Manor! More than 1,000 Easter eggs full of surprises and treats will be hidden for the children. In addition to the hunt, there will be raffles for both children and adults, and fun activities for children of all ages including egg decorating, face painting, scavenger hunts, and egg rolls. The Easter Bunny will also be on site to meet the children. Admission is free.

Reston VA–Reston Zoo (Saturday and Sunday at 10am, 12pm, 2pm): Bring your Easter Baskets for an action packed zoo day! Meet our baby bunnies, bottle feed little lambs and enjoy Easter egg hunts, face painting and special visits from the Easter Bunny. Special egg hunts for children 4 and under take place in our picnic area at 10am and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. Egg hunts are FREE with admission to the zoo.

Rockville MD–Meadowside Nature Center (April 22 10am – 3pm): Search for real eggs through our meadow, then dye and decorate the eggs you find.  Event includes other ongoing spring-related activities throughout the day.  Fun for the entire family! Reservations are required (we want to make sure we have enough eggs for everyone!).

Washington DC–Tudor Place (April 23, 2011, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.): Celebrate Spring and Easter at Tudor Place’s Third Annual Eggstravaganza! Children of all ages enjoy the largest Egg Hunt in Washington D.C. and a thrilling Egg Roll Contest. After the exciting games, spend the morning decorating festive eggs and playing games from the past! The Easter Bunny is available for pictures all morning. Visitors also enjoy a self-guided tour of Tudor Place’s 5 ½ acres of glorious gardens. The Egg Hunt begins at 10:30 a.m. and the Egg Roll follows at 10:45 a.m. Bring your own basket, spoon, and one hard-boiled egg per child.

White House (April 25 on the South Lawn for children aged 12 years and younger and their families.): The President and First Lady announced that this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 with the theme of “Get Up and Go!” promoting health and wellness. The event will feature live music, sports courts, cooking stations, storytelling and, of course, Easter egg rolling.

  1. Getting ready to take Lucas on his first Easter egg hunt. We couldn’t last year; he was only 3 months old.
